This will open the RealNegotiate CD. On the RealNegotiate CD, click on "setup.exe". If you have the download version rather than the CD, simply unzip the download (this requires Winzip, free download at www.winzip.com) and click on "setup.exe" 2. This will start the setup process for installing RealNegotiate on your computer, which will lead you through the additional steps. Note that RealNegotiate can only be installed on 1 computer per license (if you need to install on more computers, you will need to purchase additional licenses. Please see www.realnegotiate.com for more info) Activating RealNegotiate 1. When opening RealNegotiate, you will see a message regarding activating your RealNegotiate license. You only need to do this once, when installing the software. When asked whether you would like to “unlock the software now”, select "Yes", and the software will automatically bring up a license dialog, showing the Authorization code of the form XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (which you send to us), the web page form for submitting the Authorization code to us, and a blank space (for entering your Activation Code, which you will receive from us). The web page is www.realnegotiate.com/ActivateLicense.htm (or you can email us the Authorization code at license@realnegotiate.com). 2. Once we have received your Authorization code, we will email you the Activation code to enter in into that blank space on the startup license dialog. This only needs to be done once and then you will be all set to use the software on your PC. Screen Setup (If applicable) When you first start RealNegotiate you will receive a message which will ask you if we may update your screen resolution to ensure that all forms will have maximum visibility ("Would you like to temporarily update your screen resolution, to ensure maximum visibility of forms?"). This is only shown if your PC is not at the standard screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels (if your PC is using small fonts) or 1280 x 1024 pixels (if your PC is using large fonts). If you do not see this message, please skip this section and go directly to “Getting Started” below a. If you click Yes, you will get the following messages: First: "Your screen resolution should update immediately. If you screen does not reappear correctly, wait 15 seconds, and your original settings will be restored ". Then: "Opening RealNegotiate: verifying display settings" "Display settings updating, click Ok to continue" Please click ok to each. Note that when you close RealNegotiate, your previous screen resolution (display setting) will be restored. b. If you click No, you will get the message: "You MAY need to adjust (drag or scroll) forms for maximum visibility”. This may occur in some situations where your computer does not have the standard screen resolution. c. You will be asked whether you would like to suppress all future messages about screen resolution (for example, you may select this option if the program forms are sufficiently visible without updating the screen resolution). If you want to reactivate these messages, simply click on the Help menu in RealNegotiate, and select “Activate Screen Updates” Getting Started Now that RealNegotiate is installed, activated and screen formatted, you can begin using the software immediately. The enclosed brochures, found in the download or CD (also found in Program Files/RealNegotiate/RealNegotiate Brochures) provide an introduction to the software (for more in-depth info, see www.realnegotiate.com) and the User Guide provides a step-by-step guide to using the software. You should get to the User Guide help file (RHelp.hlp) by starting RealNegotiate and clicking on the “Help” menu, selecting “Get Help” Uninstalling RealNegotiate To uninstall prior to activating RealNegotiate, simply go to Control Panel (this is usually under the Start menu in Windows) and click “Add Remove Programs”.
